Stop
i wanna go home
take off this uniform
and leave the show
it's been there for a long time. and then comes the rain.
i want to quit. i want to go home.
to just sit and watch the rain. a steaming glass of kattan chaya. get drenched in the rain. listen to the silence, broken by drops of water falling from the trees. see small streams forming on the muttam.
maybe go to the church with backwaters on it's three sides. to just sit on it's rock walls, beating the water with your legs. poke a stick into one of those small holes on it's shores to see a small crab scambling out.
probably the old thalli tenga tree is still there. making our way thru the chembin kaadu and floating kozhuppas. sitting on the tree, pretending it to be the most comfortable seat.
maybe if i look hard i might be able to find a rusty choonda koluthu and two meters of twain. or i could play football in the fields now knee deep with yesterdays rain.
to see the clouds parting. sun shining on the wet grass blades, more green than ever before.
kulikazhinjeeran maarum varshasandya!
